CHUCK PISCIOTTA
Community
During my college studies in psychology and sociology, I tutored children in underserved communities.
Visiting their homes and seeing the challenges they faced left a lasting impression and deepened my commitment to helping them.
At my first job, my manager asked if I would spend a Saturday at a circus to help push a child in a wheelchair.
That day changed my life, as I have supported children’s organizations - on nonprofit boards, cultivating corporate and high net worth donors - and as a court‑appointed Guardian ad Litem volunteer.
I was especially drawn to organizations that hosted golf tournament fundraisers, since golf has always been a passion.
Some of my most meaningful experiences include:
-
Tocqueville Society
-
United Way
-
Boomer Esiason Heroes Foundation
-
HANDY ("Helping Abused, Neglected, Disadvantaged Youth")
-
Youth Automotive Training Center
-
LIFE Concepts (“Living in a Family Environment”)
Along the way, I was honored to receive the 2009 Kate Platt Child Advocate of the Year Award.
I also trained executive directors of nonprofit organizations at the annual National Society of Fundraising Executives event, now known as the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
Below are a select few images from these experiences I enjoyed.
